I created Social Mia for one reason - to relieve small business owners of the commitment (& let’s be honest, hassle) of an excellent online presence.
I’ve been a musician my whole life. When social media hit the scene around 2010 and that seemed to be the next wave of how to “make it big,” I found myself frustrated constantly of not only having to write the song, sing the song, but then market and record the song, and then all the needed engagement that came along with that.
I wasn’t doing what I loved to be doing because I was too busy scrolling! At some point, I decided, “You know what, I bet other people feel this frustration, too.”
And now 5 years later, I’ve helped over 20 small business owners release the pressure of needing to keep up with the latest trends, necessary engagement (heck!) pointless scrolling, and get back to what they really love! Who says you can’t buy more time ;)
And while yes, I love taking beautiful photos, and making people feel their best, what I find myself really loving within the work of social media management, specifically for small business owners, is getting to share your story. Because when story is shared, and shared well, it’s what takes your customer from just seeing you as another pitch to seeing your heart behind your incredible product or service.
